Hey everyone,

Thank you to those who reported this issue to us on the forums. We discovered a software update issue that caused some Quest 2/3/3S headsets to be unresponsive and unable to start up correctly. We are actively working on resolving the issue for all users, but in most cases, you are now able to use your device normally.

If you have a device that’s still unresponsive, we're here to help. Please contact customer support through the Help Center for next steps. This will be the best way to resolve the issue. Since this issue involves individual headsets and personal account information we regret that we are unable to assist you directly on the community forums.

Thank you for your understanding.

V74 now only charging headsets to 74%

Is everyone getting the new horizons world portals appearing in the quest home environments. My V74 Q2 has them but not on the V76 Q3. Easily turn offable in the settings.

meta acknowledge that V76 had borked wifi 7.

Do not try a fresh install of the meta link software. The latest borkdate is stopping the link software downloading at 2.18Gb of a 2.19Gb download. The meta help forums are swamped with posts about being unable to download/install it.

The latest firmware is borking Quest Pro contollers getting stuck on a update.

Desperate times. The meta link QA lead is asking for info to help them sort the apalling link conectivity issues recently. Other meta employees have also crawled out of the woodwork to try and work a fix through info gained on the forum.

They need to sort out their QA processes. The time to find major issues is before they push updates out to the public, especially when users on the test channel are finding them and pointing them out!

They just don't listen. they're pushing AI, they have bots on the support, and it's a complete car crash.

This is bound to break something.

Navigator

New ways to access your apps and quick actions

We’re excited to share an updated version of the Navigator, a key feature of Meta Horizon OS. Navigator brings your apps, worlds, friends, controls, and more together in one easy-to-access place, making it simple to move between everything you need in VR. Your updated Library helps you keep all of your favorite apps within reach with the ability to pin them to the top.

In the Navigator’s Worlds section, you can explore a wide range of fun, social and gaming experiences. Here, you also have Passthrough and Loft which are Home Worlds that belong to you. You can choose one as your default Home to start and return to each time you’re in VR by long pressing on the icon. In the Navigator's People section, you can easily connect with friends. You can message, call, send invites and more.

Managing your system is just as straightforward. You can easily access quick controls to check your battery levels, volume, brightness, camera, casting and more. Manage your avatar, online status, and check notifications. To show or hide your windows, just double press the Meta button on your Touch controller.

To see more options, press and hold an app, person or world to bring up actions like pinning, inviting and more.

Navigator is designed based on everything we’ve learned over the last decade. It is unobtrusive, intuitive, and built from the ground up for the unique needs of spatial computing.

Get started with Navigator

You can enable or disable Navigator at any time by going to Settings and selecting the Experimental section. Once enabled, you can invoke Navigator by pressing the Meta button on your right controller, making it easily accessible whenever you need it.

Rollout details

Navigator started rolling out with v77 as a limited test and with v83 it will be rolled out to the same set of users that already have Navigator. We will be gradually rolling out to more users over the upcoming months.

Mobile app login for Browser

Log into certain websites from your phone by sending a link to your Meta Horizon mobile app. Websites available for v83 include Roblox and Tiktok. This new feature reinvents QR code login for Meta Quest.

Space Setup

Enable representation of more complex architectural elements like multi-height floors, slanted ceilings, and inner walls in Space Setup. This will improve realism of mixed reality experiences by further blending the physical space with virtual content.
