That Cult of Luna track is immense, can't wait to get my hands on the new album.

Been listening to some older Mudvayne recently and I'm still amazed by just how insanely good the bass sounds. Quite possibly the coolest sound on earth.

I wish more metal bands put more effort and imagination into how they incorporate a bass guitar into their sound. Ryan Martinie's basslines really put them to shame.

Not for hardcore because it is a sub-genre of metal. However punk is not

Yes metal is the broad term but they are both completely different. I know a lot of metal fans hate hardcore, but a lot of hardcore fans love metal because they got into hardcore through metal. like me.
