Had a proud dad moment the other day.

Schools don't seem to teach music anymore and if kids want to learn parents must pay additional for the lessons and the school gives them time each week to do so. Anyway my boy has decided he wants to learn electric guitar.

I like heavy metal, not as heavy as some in here but heavy none the less, and when my wife's at work I normally put it on and turn it up, he's always enjoyed it since was a baby.

My boy is 6 years old,

Anyway the school gave them a choice of songs to learn, and my boy wanted to learn Metallica enter sandman. The rest of the class wanted much softer love songs, which really upset my boy and in true rock style he kicked over the drum kit.

The school wasn't best pleased and called me, I have reprimanded him suitably. However I was proud he chose that song

Hangman's Chair - French doom/sludge who've been around around since '07 and sounds like a mix of Type-O, early Paradise Lost, The Cure etc depending on the album. Here's a bit of a mix -
