Extremely disappointed. Lets hope so :(

They seem to like bringing less and less metal - pendulum were playing this year... we had to sit through them to get to maiden
 
Agree with chris on that one. Pendulum were ****ing awesome! Just wish they'd played more hold your colour (although I had major brown pants issues when they played tarantula).

Still, who knows what they'll have line up if they have biffy clyro as a headliner :-/
 
Sonisphere is a metal festival though thats what I dont understand. Sure people like Pendulum, they are very popular - hell I used to listen to them a bit too but I don't think they should have been there, they should have been at download - I think they played at leeds aswell didn't they?

Same with biffy bloody clyro - doesnt belong.

On a better note though, High voltage festival in London has announced that Judas Priest and Dream Theater will be headlining! Apparently this is Priests last world tour so I wanna be there.

Dream Theater wont be the same without Portnoy though...
 
I completely agree with the Biff not belonging. Whilst I like them, they're less metal than Pendulum, so I can see it not going down to well, and there being a lot of non-metal kids there on the Saturday getting destroyed by the big, burly metal folk.
 
I'm quite happy for them to support the Foos at MK which fits perfectly for them, and to be fair they are pretty good live, but they don't fit the Sonisphere bill as a headliner. To go from the Foos support to Sonisphere is just wrong.

Both Download and Sonisphere have 1 more headliner each to announce so fingers crossed we end up with somebody decent.
 
Well there was a guy on Radio 1 said that two from Blink 182, Paramore and My Chemical Romance would headline Download, and 1 Sonisphere. I really, really hope it's not true. As much as I like all 3 bands, it's a gorram metal fest.

But hopefully as download has announced 2 and none of them are headliners then we can but hope for sanity to be applied
 
Stratovarius live in glasgow last year, was an amazing gig random youtube vid sound quality is a bit iffy but they sound the same as the cd, main reason im posting is due to this i love bands who actually can play live.



They sounded immense even though the vocalist was ill as hell.


Really want them to play download next year of tour the UK again when they have a new CD out and play glasgow.
