Just watched this. Tried to watch it when it first came out but didnt get into it. This time I kept it on after the first half an hour, and its just incredible. Nothing more to day, incredible emotional tense film. Must see.

I actually really liked it... Story was a bit Half Life tho...
For those who thought it was pretty average or crap, I don't suppose you watched it on a big screen, with the lights down, sound up, and let yourself be engrossed with it ?
It wasn't typically scary, but I was just soo involved, and the shooting
both my brother and I stoof up screaming **** YES. Thought it was paced perfectly, the way different people panned out in teh supermarket was great and pretty damn worrying (and believable), acting was pretty good, CGI worked well, mosters damn freaky, and the ending again, horrific and strangely perfect.
Now to seegood ol' Raimis 'drag me to hell', and 'Terminator salvation' in the next week. Coupled with 'star trek' and 'the mist' I think this is one of the best months ever for films, and transformers isn't even upon us yet

You know you've been on the internet too much when, at the end of the film, you're waiting for the word "FAIL" to appear on the screen.
It was terrible. Poor script and acting, terrible special effects and cliched characters. The ending, however, was hilarious.
yea could have really done with will smith or tom cruise turning up at the end and saving the planet

Bad? I thought it was perfect. Not the usual soft cop out ending.
The original end to the novella is neither upbeat or downbeat...there's a small chance of hope but not much, a small flicker on a radio if I remember correctly?
Love the film. One of Kings best stories (Black Mesa nearby you think?) and l reckon the film adaptation is probably the best movie from his work. And the end is incredible...King himself said he's jealous he didn't write it that way.

i think its fine the way it is, a bigger budget probably would have ruined the atmosphere of the whole film
