Anyone else have it?

I had my astra for nearly 3 years and didn't do a thing to it...

Since i've had my vRS all I want to do is tweak and tinker with it... and it's getting expensive.

For example, I find myself wanting to get silicon hoses for the turbo pipes... no increase in power or whatever but i'm still tempted to drop £80 on a set.

Just bought a TIP for £80 which apparently can give 5-6bhp increase (up to 10bhp if mapped to it) and earlier turbo spool.

..oh and a tt arch liner so I can cut out the venting and put it into my arch liner to help keep the intercooler .. erm cooler.

Etc... etc...

I'm addicted :(.... but it's fun :p

Amateurs: I've spent at least six grand on mine, and I count as low-end modder in Scoobyland. Mind you, it's a bit faster now...

More than £6k? I, don't feel so bad now. Ooooh, I see you have the 1.8T... what have you done to it Firestar (That and the mazda / scooby)? :)

Atm :

Forge Motorsport 1.8T Diverter Valve
Revo Stage 1
Uprated Clutch & new Dual Mass.
5000k HID kit (fitted to projector lights)
Retrofit the latest cruise control
W8 Interior light Mod
18" RS4 Wheels
Milltek Cat Back

Needs the Cam chain tensioner doing next so need to order that before i do owt else, if i fancy messing around anymore i'm going to hunt down a K04 turbo, 4psi fuel valve & some new injectors.

Apart from that lot its been service items, changed all the Coilpacks a few weeks back since one failed on me :(

Spent about 7k on the mazda in mods, but most of the expensive stuff came off when i sold the car.

Noob here, but am i right in saying that most of that stuff will be all fitted and done by a garage. Did you do much of it yourself? Fit the exhaust, clutch? :)

Revo, Clutch & Dual Mass, Cruise Control & Milltek all got fitted at a garage, i could have done the cruise myself but AwesomeGTI wanted £195 + Vat for fitting and parts so it wasn't worth my time.

Clutch & Dual Mass is a pig of a job so a garage did that!

I did the rest so :

Hids are a bumper off job which gave me chance to fit the Forge at the same time.

W8 light is a quick wiring job took 1 hour.

Wheels are just a case of chuck them on :)

Oh and you can add the Satnav install to the list of things done at home.

Most real men have fuzzy dice, but that's a different topic I think.

I'd love to spend my money on the CTR but at the moment its always getting tied up elsewhere.

My friend has some "cow cubes" which are like furry dice, only not furry, and are patterned to look like a cow... If she wasn't a she, she wouldn't be my friend any more, because no man worth his beans would possess such things.
