the most difficult games to learn...

Military flight sims, I haven't even considered purchasing Lock-On due to the complexity it must have. Used to love USAF though (ye olde jet game).

I'd say EVE, simply for the shear amount of stuff to learn about it. You can play for years and still be learning. It's also a very steep learning curve at the beginning, which is why a lot of people give up on it.

Grand Prix Legends... compared to that i dont think game is even slightly difficult.

Beaten to it... Grand Prix Legends sucked away years of my life learning how to drive it properly. But it's good, as it means I can pick up games like GTR, GTL and Richard Burns Rally and be pretty fast straight away.... No driving game is hard anymore!

Any game where it involves you shooting of bombing targets with a fighter jet. I can fly them easily enough but i can never kill anything or anyone. Never have been able to and i dont think i ever will.

I find flight sims impossible to play.

yeah i second that, i tend to fall asleep after five minutes so it doesnt really give me much of a chance to learn the controls

Neverwinter Nights - can't get my head around it... at all.

Any flight sim. I just take off (eventally) and crash.

Dear oh dear... :p

The tribes series have a long learning curve....tribes 2 was the one i played for a while ..i think the latest installment is tribes vengence

Id agree with that, Tribes 2 was a game that I found difficult to get to grips with completly for a long time, which made it even more satisfying when i did manage to master it (well maybe master is a little strong).

Unfortunatly they dumbed it down in tribes vengence so it lost all its charm for me.

But I would say something like Lomac is miles above that in terms of difficulty to learn, I have tried my hardest and just cant get anywhere with that game.

Anygame that is not a fast paced online FPS ;) !!! RPG's ect bore me to tears and so find them impossible to learn and get into, however if I had an unlimited life i might give a few a go. I remember having a dreamcast and buying SHENMUE, I regret never playing it cos it looked awesome :(

I really cant get the hang of RTS games like Battle for Middle earth, or the original one that put me off: C&C.

Waaaaay too much going on for me to keep track of and eventually i die.

Don't mind turn based where i can make sure ive done everything (Civ style)

I find C&C pretty simple, as you only have to keep track of your "homebase" and your army.

Try playing Rome Total War! :D

You need to use proper battle tactics, C&C mass attack by numbers style doesn't work.

I-War was fairly....'easy' to play but difficult to master - QUICK, Assign engineering team 4 to repair the horizontal thrusters, shift the reactors to the shields, break left, fire anti-LDS missles at the approaching Corvette, switch to rear gun cam and nail that freighter with a burst of PPC, rotate, roll!

:D

Anything with more than 4 units and am screwed!

I forget what am doing, and end up being done.

Another vote for X3 here. That game seriously needs a decent tutorial. X2 wasnt the easiest game to get into either, especially in regards to automating your own fleet etc.
