You are aware that vocoders progressed since 70ies and can do much more than Oldfield's Sheba type of effect?

Search youtube for something newer - like Electro Harmonix V256 Vocoder, especially in reflex mode. Your own pocket Kanye for just £129.00.

The Wombats did Moving To New York but apparently they also did a "anti-Christmas" song called Is This Christmas. No idea how ire inducing it is, I can't recall ever having heard it until I was checking today.

to the OP - Hot Chip are extreamly good recorded, imo. however live they are terrible!
Their a good band all in all, the noises make it more unusual. you probably wouldnt like my band (see sig/link below) either! lol

People will probs crucify me but.. i cannot stand anything by Queen.
very talented and all that jazz, but i just hate them.
