Oh, and just about any rapper/popster that use that uberannoying melodyne on steroids/overdriven antares auto-tune thing on their voice, that Cher "believe" vocoder type of thing. Once it's interesting, twice it's meh, three times, it's like sauerkraut with pickled gherkins, but when 10 years later every Kanye West, T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Daft Punk under the sun does that over and over again ad infinitum you just feel like shoving AK47 with bayonet down their throat and ripping out that dalek speech device.

You are aware that vocoders progressed since 70ies and can do much more than Oldfield's Sheba type of effect? Search youtube for something newer - like Electro Harmonix V256 Vocoder, especially in reflex mode. Your own pocket Kanye for just £129.00.

Whoever sings that "something in New York and i've problems with my sleep" - man his voice is so annoying, they also did that blood boiling christmas song which made me turn off the radio every time it came on.

to the OP - Hot Chip are extreamly good recorded, imo. however live they are terrible!
Their a good band all in all, the noises make it more unusual. you probably wouldnt like my band (see sig/link below) either! lol

People will probs crucify me but.. i cannot stand anything by Queen.
