But I do know where the few speed cameras are, and I don't drive like an idiot to warrant being pulled over etc..

I do about 1000 miles a month, half of them are to and from work, so I just stick to the flow of the traffic

All of mine are from working for Range Rover all over the country.Mostly not having local knowledge of where the speed camera are in any given location.

It's very rare that I'm driving on a 'new' road.

I find a lot of the time you can tell where there's going to be a camera, because most other drivers will behave differently just before it, obviously this isn't always the case, or an exact science!

Does it kill your insurance renewal?

I do about 14 - 15k a year, I live in a seaside town, nearest speed cameras that are fixed points are about 40 miles either way.

I don't leave the town much for my work

We do get the annoying mobile units but one of my good friends works for the mobile speed units and lets me know where they are likely to be. Saying that I have only seen them in 2 locations in my town and they mainly send them over to Bournemouth or Poole.

It killed the job i had at the time [driving new Jags and Range Rovers all over the country] Didnt affect my personal insurance more than £200.
