Had none for the first 14yrs on my licence, then started working in IT mobile support (from Leeds, mainly to Hull or around Yorkshire area, doing around 50k miles per year) and got 6pts in 11 months. SP30 - 46 in a 40 (200yds from where road changes from 40 to 50) and SP50 - 97 on the m'way (was lucky as the copper had me at 117mhp but got blocked coming after me, pulled me and offered me a day in court or 3pts/£60 combo - said he didn't want to spend a day court and gave me the option). That was 4/5yrs ago now, so none valid for totting up purposes.
Looks like I got another SP30 today taking my total to 13 (7 expired for totting up thankfully).
Driving down a long road from the motorway into the back of Rotherham at 40 for about 5 miles. Saw a camera, checked my speed was 40, camera flashed.
Massive WTF moment, and a hundred yards past the camera was a pair of signs indicating a change of limit to 40. I must have missed the start of a 30 zone.
I'm so angry with myself. The entire 30 section can only have been a few hundred yards long as I'd seen a 40 repeater a few minutes earlier.
Looks like I'll have 13 points as it was a Truvello which means I can't even hope it was out of film.

None, I've been very lucky
I got pulled once, doing 40 in a 30, I was bricking it, I was late for work and was in a hurry it was not a built up area, just a long a road, officer gave me the talking to, had my works uniform and I was a stuttering reck, it worked though, if I am late I just take my time now.

10! before anyone shouts babykiller. is was 37 in a 30 (following an army truck at the time!! I didn't know the road, travelling back from olivers mount road racing)
4 points for contravening a white line, (both of these on my motorbike). the got 3 for using a phone. (stopping it from ringing incidentally, not talking on it).
The first two are now off thank god! just 3 points left, I'm all clear in january. Driving around with 10 points is a bit scary! got them in a 3 month period to, so had to drive 2 years and 8 months with all 10!!
