The most stupidly hard game you have ever completed/not completed.

Well Burnout Legends for the PSP prompted me to post this. My brother got a PSP and Burnout Legends a few weeks ago and then got to a CrashBreaker level called Paradise Peril.

He has tried for literally hours, i think about 9 hours on the same level now, he basically needs to hit every car and collect every reward which is near impossible, the level doesn't take skill, it takes luck. This is a major bug in the game, and EA refuse to believe it is a bug. It's only the 16th level of crashbreaker i think (there's 100 of them) and it's already this hard?

Anyone else here experienced a level in the game that took hours to complete, or was so hard you gave up on the game or thought it was a bug?

The 'Lee Hong Assassination' level on Hitman took me almost a full Saturday to complete. It was silly hard. :)

Jet Set Willy!* No, seriously Monty on The Run or maybe Thing on a Spring.

You want new games? Doom 3 then...

* For those of you who are as old as me you will, of course, know that a bug in the game stopped you actually collecting all the objects.

Trespasser.

Wasn't exactly stupidly hard, but it had a stupid control system where you had to use about 4 different buttons to move your arm to pick up guns and aim etc. I did think it was a fantastic game as it used a physics engine which worked very well for a time when physics hadn't been used like that, and wouldn't be properly for a long time.

Plus you had hardly any clue that a raptor or T-Rex would just pop up behind you and kill you, and when they got close to you, and you tried to aim say the shotgun, you'd end up hitting them round the side of the face like a big slap ! :p

Ninja Gaiden, without a doubt, is the hardest game i've ever completed and that was only on normal. I gave up playing it when i first got it after the first few levels but then gave it another go after reading a thread on here about it. I'm glad i starting playing it again because once i got used to it and learnt some moves i really got into it and realised it wasn't as impossible as i'd first decided, on completing it i really felt like i'd achieved something, far more then any other game i've played.

Although its the hardest game i've ever played its now one of my favorites and i'm now playing through Ninja Gaiden Black on hard and enjoying it just as much.

The original Project X on the Amiga. Never got past the second level. They made it a lot easier on re-release with the Special Edition version.

trying to beat oxide on some of the tracks on crash team racing :)

i am a pretty good racer on that, but no ammount of turbo boosts and short cuts seem to help lol......cheatin b******!

Final Fantasy 8 is nearly impossible to complete, I still haven't killed the final boss. No matter how much health you have the boss can use a move which puts everyone in your team's health to 1. You can go from 99999 to 1 in one move. I was playing the game for ages trying to get past the boss but gave up in the end.

Morrowind on the PC. Spent months and months adventuring and playing it and still didn't finish it.

If you can't beat the last boss then don't play the piano! It releases the omega weapon which has 1,000,000 hp and has an attack that can kill the entire team instantly. I beat it though :p With the help of a stockpile of holy wars.

Some of the dark aeons in ffx were tough. I beat valefor, ifrit, shiva and ixion but couldn't manage the others. And this is with completely full stats.
