The New Cases Gallery

Dust is the path to the dark side.
Dust leads to static.
Static leads to component failure.
Component failure leads to suffering.

HmMMmm....

I gave up to clear, for some reasons: I don't have space enough to clear (share a house), no time, and the first LAZY. But anyway, I never have problem about overheating, or something like that.
I was tring to keep clean and tidy, but after week was the same!!!! :P
Now the computer is going to Brazil, may there, doesn't "feel" hungry for dust.

Get yourself one of these and never be troubled by dust again. When it was released everyone was chipping in with comments about how dust would be a major problem, well i've had this for 6 months now and never had to dust it once, It has no dead spots for dust to gather and any dust that gathers over night just gets blown away by the big fan on the top. Bit of a Marmite case I know, but I just love the looks and the ease of access when you need to work on it.

its a Lian Li V1000 and it comes without the white insides and the fancy window although the window is achievable by someone who will laser cut for you and the inside is powder coating (not expensive) or spray paint :) either way not pricey and fairly easy.

A lot of the quality of Raikiris built comes from the quality of the build if you know what I mean ;)

nice case though :)

v1200+ ;) and thanks :)

@ Mr. Bon: I designed the window and then had it cut for me (by water jet iirc), cut and fitted the tinted perspex.
Then drilled out the rivets and painted the inside, cut a hole in the motherboard tray for cable management and put it all back together.

I'm fairly happy with the results although I am tempted to cut a 120mm blow hole in the top.

I was lucky and paid £70 for it to begin with, then a lot more on modding :/

Nice case Raikiri. Not sure about the blow hole, it might ruin the nice clean exterior lines. Also nice Tannoys

£200 case, way out of budget. only got £100 to spend :(
Awesome case however, good work buddy.

Nice spec Mr Bon, but for that amount of dosh you can go down the i7 route. If you'd rather not, the only things I think I'd change if it were me are the 6600, (try to find a G0 stepping) and the graphics card (you can go faster for less££££)

Thanks, they're Mordaunt Shorts though ;)

I was thinking of drilling out the holes by hand so they're isn't and visible grill as such, like so:

Nice drill work Raikiri. Did you use a bench drill or free hand? I had a go once myself and it was so bad I ended up having to cut a big hole and put a fan in, but then I probably don't have an engineering bone in my body
