The New Cases Gallery

I paid a little bit more for mine as I wanted 2 different colors (red and black), and the guy gets charged a minimum of £40 from the coaters, it cost me £100 however that included the shipping of the case both ways, and that cost quite a bit to send a case from the North East of Scotland right down to Wales.

I'm really impressed with the job so far though.

Can't wait to start my build!

I wish someone would just buy my X58 UD5 off me though as I would like to buy my RAM now instead of waiting til I get paid again.

Yeah mate, I was initially looking for a Bloodrage, and I actually found a couple on the bay of e, however I didn't have any ££ at the time, and when I did get the cash together they had all dissapeared.

So I've gone for a Rampage II Extreme instead which should fit this build nicely.

I was gonna wait for the RIIIE but a lot of people seem to think that it's gonna cost around £350 to £400 and that is just a little bit out of my price range!!!

I've sold the RAM I was using on my UD5 and I'm going to be buying a set of the 1866MHz Dominator GT's they will look good in this build.

The only thing that I am not to sure about is my cable sleeving, I already have the front panel cables and all the case fan wires done in that dense weave red and black sleeving, however, I am now thinking about redoing it all again but this time just with plain black, as I think there will be to much red going on if I leave the sleeving as it is.

That's a job I'm not looking forward to, is redoing all the PCIe cables on my PSU...
 
.... mate you should have a St. in front of your name cause you have patience of one ! .. Im thinking you may be right though about the black being better esp. in that area of the case .... looking and sounding superb either way.


.... oh and I own a Blood Rage and this is gonna make you wince ... I have it stuck inside a biege case right now
 
A lot of folk I know this it's stupid to have things color coordinated in their PC's and don't see the point in it, however I just want things to look good with this build.

You wouldn't be interested in trading your BR for my UD5 would you??? :D
 
That looks great Davy, particularly the red. The RIIE will really set it off, like a bit of colour co ordination myself, particularly black and white (thats the painter + decorator in me). Wouldnt mind getting my A70F done at some time, exterior is great but the bare alu interior is a bit bland. Look forward to seeing the finished article, build log coming i hope.;)

Have you created a thread on this build ? Sorry mate I did see your posting in MM Wanted and I own both the BR and the Rampage ... I luv's my Blood Rage :)

have a look at the cables they sell on here, pre braided and reasonable prices, might save you some blood sweat and tears :D
 
Jeez.... Very jealous looking through the last few pages of this thread.

I have just built my latest box on albeit a bit of a budget and thought I had done a neat job.

Oh well, must try harder :)

Thx, still a bit to do to tidy it up, inside up top. ( Colour of water messed up due to a bit of water dye still in pump, taking care of it. Should be clear ).

Thanks for the kind words guys, I don't know if I will do a build log setter, I kinda feel intimadated by all the other excellent project logs/rigs that get posted up here, and I suck at keeping logs, I end up taking a few pics when I start building, and then I get so involved in the build process that I end up forgetting to take pics of my progress!!

I might have a crack at one, we will just have to wait and see.

Currently trying to decide what to do in regards to motherboard cooling, I'm stuck between either just buying a fusion block from EK that screws into the stock heatsink assembly, or spend stupid money on the Bitspower set (about £160!), or just get the EK ones which I can get for just over £100.

The Bitspower ones are by far the nicest out of the lot, but I have pumped silly money into this build already so I don't know if I can justify spending another £160 just for some blocks.

Yes thats right, tho its my 1st one. Missed out all the pain and shouting at the thing when i cut more than i should!

Tried on (that) site. Not to call the unexpected result (water) Oh its gone a urine colour! Tho its a colour after a few ales ! lol!


So u know its going to be fixed.:)

yes it was going to have 2 Enermax power supplies ( painted white) But one blew up , lol, So 2nd psu is my Globalwin, one for all fans , pump , lights etc.
Other for board only.
