The New Cases Gallery

Thanks guys, I am quite pleased myself as its my first watercooled build :)

Fothsn, hmm dont you have temp controlled PSU fans ?
When I switched from A Big typhoon (up/down airflow) to a Tuniq Tower (front/back airflow) it helped case temps quite a bit, and saved the PSU spinning its fans up so often.

Predator, looking good, the TJ07's are becoming popular ;)

V|per, be sure to post pics :)

Hi mate, yes I believe its temp controlled would it be a big improvement in a temp drop? as it seems to fit mounted the way you suggested however it’s a big job! got to pull everything out, may just leave it until my new case arrives in a few weeks (preorder)

Leave as is, then fit the other way when the new case comes :)
It certainly helped with case temps for me, and helped noisewise by not spinning up the PSU fans so often, that might have been due in part to having an 8800 under it, as the nvidia cooling solution seems less effective at taking the heat out of the case.
I see you have ATI, and they tend to get heat exhausted better IMO so doesn't affect case temps as much.

Either way it won't make anything any worse, and potential lower case temps for free can't be a bad thing ;)

Some small, not so obvious tweeks, but a good few hours work ... Mobo I suspect had some dry joints that came to light installing memory a month or so back, and didn't cope with the transplant intact, so was swapped for a replacement but in BFG flavour.

The PSU was annoying me, it aint that loud, but as everything was geared for ultra low noise it was the loudest thing in the system.
So that was swapped out for a Corsair unit basically a Seasonic but with the 60mm fan removed for extra quietness.

Anyone want to buy a nice Enermax Galaxy 1000W modular ? ;)

Wondefully quiet now, but that did mean another cable routing session :o
While I was at it I tidyied the tubing a little as coming from the resovoir looked too wayward to me, I have to have some slack to slide the res forward for maintenance so I decided pipe clips would help tidy it up and I could just unhook the tube when I need to slide the res forward :)

Deadman: Very nice! any more pictures of the screen? How are you finding it? I just ordered one for my upcoming PC!

Predator, you have the ICYBOX sata internal enclosure, considering getting one, have you got any more pictures? Is it any good?

No more pics, but yes its just awesome. Got it on the low fan setting. All Cool and very quiet!

A good friend of mine recommended it and I'm glad I bought it!

Here ya go :)

Its a really nice screen, the learning curve is a little steep as the aphacool forums are in German with very little English but once you get the hang of designing the screens its quite simple.

I use the Everest plugin to get most of the detailed data.

The shots below are taken running prime95.

I've stuck an X300 in there temporarily until the HD2600XT's come out, its more of a workstation than a "gamestation" - I've got the Xbox 360 right next to it for that!

Hey, I've been getting a fair bit of rattling coming from my PC7+ where I think the panels have become a little loose due to being removed so many times.
I have been thinking for sometime about using sound absorption padding to see if this would stop this. Did you get this before? Do you think this will solve the problem or just a waste of time. Also, did this increase the temp of your case much?
Only my case is also silent except for this now rattling and its running nice and cold :D

Thanks

chriscatt,

When you post select the little picture icon (next to hyperlink) and then put the url for your image in there and do it for each one.

Edit: Just read rules, sorry for posting comment.
