The New Cases Gallery

It was actually Clone's case that i bought off the MM.

He sent it away to get it cut and coloured.

I'd actually been toying with something pretty much identical so was very fortunate to see it come up.

I've had a Lian Li PC101 which is very similar in size to what you're looking at.

Posted a couple of builds (the top two) in it here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11357702&postcount=17

Lovely layout, quiet running and good cooling. At a guess i'd say it's probably not as watercooling friendly as the MM but past that it's a lovely case.

ah - im with you

im trying to weigh up the pros and cons of the two im looking at
lian li looks excellent but doesnt look practical for water cooling but the mm looks great for watercooling
and better irl than the stock photos [going off yours anyway]

put it this way - you made my decision a hell of a lot harder!!!

Well i really appreciate the comments - thank you! :D

I'm sure you'd be very happy with either - their lovely cases.

Lastly, just to put the case choice into context, in order of ownership i've had an Antec P180, Lian Li 101, Lian Li A70 and now this.

All have been good in their own ways but only the MM managed to tick all the boxes in terms of my needs.

Good luck with the decision process and make sure to let us know what you decide to go for. :)

oh i will - it will get posted here whatever i get

havent seen any v1000z builds anywhere yet - thats why im thinking of going for it

but the white h2go is tempting me now!

will have to wait until all the bills are paid - looking at january as an eta on the new case so i have plenty of time to keep changing my mind!

New system from last Wednesday - Antec 1200

Just deciding now to add three case badges or avoid as it may ruin the look of the case...

is it just me or is that graphics card wonky? i remember using cable ties from the power cable on my old x1950 when it did this with a thermalright cooler on it just to give it a bit of extra support, it might not make any difference i guess just stops the pcb from being under any unnecessary pressure. Dont know what anyone elses thoughts are on this lol

im not sure if its where the weight of the card pulls it down or what :S i know you can get those pci guard thingys that support the outer edge of the cards cant quite remember their exact name but vaugly remember them being plastic and blue lol

The card turned out to be a dud - for the few hours it was in the system I had nothing but trouble - BSOD, lockups, looping restarts etc. I rang the supplier to replace and decided to with a GTX260 instead. Just seemed to be too many issues posted on these boards and elsewhere with the 4870 to make me feel confident in getting a replacement. This was a HIS model and I think the weight of it was causing it to be crooked. The GTX is seated fine and straight. No pics yet but may post some tomorrow.

Just finshed an akasa omega build

HDD is being passively cooled in the 5.25 bay all to its self. sitting below 30c always, and the hot air just rising out the case. Very pleased :)
