The New Cases Gallery

Here is my little beast, i did plan on only having 3GB of RAM and then buying 3x2GB modules, but my dad bought me some more RAM for my birthday so i have 6GB now and an awkward CPU cooler placement. I think i can make it work by attaching the front fan to the rear using some cable ties. In any case, eye candy time.

I know these are'nt to everyone's liking but i think they are great. I need to buy a black dvd writer and some lighting mods and black sata cables. I just think if i was the maker i would have put a front plate on where the dvd drive is and some perspe xin a few other places. I have the big fan on the lowest setting and it is dead quiet.

gotts wonder about dust issues with these tho? surely everying will get covered in it if ya pc aint on :P but then again, cleaning would be a breeze, just get a lawn blower :P hehe

I just replaced my Antec 900 with this and i can't see it been any worst as after 2 to 3 weeks my antec 900 fans on the front were always gray with dust and i had to take the thing apart to get at the dust behind the grills.. I thought i could get to the dust better on this case. Only time will tell.

coming along nicely voyager2x8. had one of these for about 2 months now and I can hand on heart say dust is not an issue, anything that settles over night is blown off the moment you start it up. As there are no airflow dead spots like you get in normal cases, dust does not gather and deposit during use. I've gone for UV blue cabling (although I also think green would look good) and secreeted some UV tubes about the place. Have a look at my other threads for pics and reviews etc. Do keep us updated with any mods you make, I don't think there are many with this case, and even fewer modding it.

I think they are dead cool g-dubz, i have got to try hide some wires and i would like to get a new power supply with detachable power cobles as my psu i have now has loads of cables commin of it which i hate. I like the orange string you have on your m8 it sets the cables of nicley.

Cheers voy, I've had more than a few probs with PSUs as you'll see from my other threads "modding the antec skeleton" and "whining PSU" also some notes on avrc's thread "antec skeleton review with pics", I think was down to bad luck rather than the case, although I have sought guidance on whether it's ok to mount the psus with the larger fans 120mm size with the fan on the top rather than underneath and apparently it doesn't really matter. be real careful not to pick a unit larger than 160mm in length like the antec true power quatro 1000w that the manual actually recommends as you'll have real trouble getting the mobo cable to turn 180 degrees in the space provided, also the pci and mobo 24pin cables need to be 21 inches or more (most are) or they just won't reach. Believe it or not the antec 1000w which has a side mounted 80mm fan has to be inverted in the case or the cables won't reach!!!! and thats the type they recommend!!! I gave up on trying to tidy the cables in the classic sense as there's no where to tidy them away to so tried to make a feature of them.

I've been quite lucky with the psu i have now even though i hate the thing as the motherboard power cable just about reached as my motherboard power socket is right at the front and my psu has 2 pci ex cables for the vga cards but they are ugly and thick as hell.

Probably, but atm the cables were put anywhere just so I could use the system. I will no doubt tidy them up in the future.

It may be a tight squeeze getting the sidepanel on if they are routed behind the mobo tray but I will see what I can do. I may end up routing them as neatly as I had them previous to adding the gtx 280.

Thanks for your input :)

I see you have a corsair HX psu. Can the flat cables be braided or do they have those rigid "moulded to the wires" spacer things on them every so often? Very nice by the way.
