The New Cases Gallery

Nocturnal UV Skeleton. Sorry about the quality, done on camera phone. The fingers on second image are just covering up the blue LEDs as thet were proving a bit bright for the old Nokia to deal with.

Well finally got off my *** and cabled up my new Hiper Osiris. I was a bit reluctant at first as I was thinking about returning it as I didn't think the internals were well thought out - but actually when I got going I changed my mind. It's a good case and a bargain (~£90) when you consider the build quality.

There are a couple of minor points I don't like - the stealth bezels have really weak springs in them. In fact, I didn't bother using them in the end. TBH I don't really like stealth bezels anyway so no big loss.
The case fans are loud - but they do shift a lot of air. My coretemp readings have gone down by about 3c and that's only using 2 out of 3 case fans. I will be changing them though to noctuas/silent eagles I think (I only run a mild 3.6Ghz on my E8400 24/7)
Good points are the build quality, the excellent side panels (with cool latches on them) and the brushed aluminium materials. Also finished inside and out in black (I wouldn't mind seeing the gun-metal version though!)
I'm gonna add a CPU watercooling loop I reckon (my first ever!) By moving the HDD to a 5.25" bay I could remove the drive cage and get a rad. in there. There's plenty of space to add a reservoir/pump too. I could also go the external root as there are pre-drilled holes on the back to route tubing through.

Cabling needs a little work but it's not too bad for a first pass.

Good work on the cabling. Are they sharkoon silent eagles? I want to replace my hiper case fans for those - would you recommend them?

Definatly. They are simply put the best fans i have used, although these are the 2000rpm version which i have on a fan controller so i can basically make them silent. if your just running off a motherboard/psu directly, go for the 1000rpm ones.

at 2000rpm, i have such good air flow that it actually feels cold inside :p:o but its a little loud for my liking ;)

Yeah I was gonna go for the 1000RPM ones and run them off my mobo. They seem to be a decent price/performance/noise/looks compromise. I really wanted the noctuas but I'm afraid I can't get passed the looks.

Yes, I am shallow ;)

Thanks for the reply.

Here's mine
