*** The New Cases Gallery ***

I really like the look of it. It says on the spec sheet that it can accommodate a Rampage V Extreme, but I don't think I could water cool the board, chip and 2 GPU's in that case, could I?

What are the radiator options? I'd need 480+120 headroom I would think? Possible?

Not a chance, the most you could could do is MAYBE 2x240 very slim rads and you would need to use slim fans for the front also, the case is built for air cooling not water.

I'll only be using this slim 240 and doing cpu cooling only for the next while.

Hi Guys

Anyone here ever had a Fractal Design Node 804? OCUK are selling them as mATX compatible but the FD website says that they are only compatible with Mini ITX and Mini DTX motherboards.

Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

:)

It's definitely mATX, I considered this case myself. Have a look at the review below... confirmation at the 3:00 mark...

Not sure where you're looking on the FD site though because it says MATX on there also!

Yeah, I think I got a page from the support FAQ Questions for the 804 that states only M-ITX and D-ITX, but when you look on the Node 804 page directly it says it is designed as a MATX case. Strange.

I also found it on a PC Partpicker build with the Maximus VIII Gene board that I am looking at getting, so all good. Which case did you get after considering the Node 804? I am looking at the Corsair Carbide Air 240 too but so far the looks of the 804 are shading it for me.

:)

EDIT - I found the offending page http://support.fractal-design.com/s...-the-node-304-support-micro-atx-motherboards-

It might just not play nice with this case, being mounted to a front fan and horizontal next to a window.

I never tried it outside of the case and i'm pretty sure it would be quiet then.. i'll be using the ddc in the bottom for sure but i'm going to run the pump outside the case just to check.

The tubing should look a lot more tidy also so instead of 12 runs i should only be using 7 and they should be parallel.

My upgraded system:

I hadn't built a new PC in over 8 years so I finally treated myself.

Over 9tb of storage. :D You can never have enough capacity. The traditional hard drives are hidden the other side. "3tb WD green for Photos and raw edited video files. "6tb Seagate for Steam library" "240gb PNY SSD" for OS and current game playing.

Just upgraded my 6 year old PC. Bitfenix Phenom MATX Arctic White Customised Side Window case.

Still needs a bit of cable management.
