The new facebook. Cack.

Is there a way to download all the photos on Facebook to your hard drive instead of right clicking and saving each photo?

That would actually be a useful function. But at least the right click->save as works now - I used to have to click the download button underneath the pic.

Anyway, I still lie awake at night, wishing that one day they will reinstate the news feed filters so you could look at status updates and pics separately, and get rid of 'herpderp likes herping' type info. :(

Dropped it at the start of this week, feeling much better already!

I must have spent atleast 2 hours a day on the bloody thing. It was/is just wasted time. Every time I feel the 'urge' to see whats happening on faceache I go for a 20 minute run. The feeling goes away.

Thinking about it I couldn't careless whats 'happening' it was just me being lazy and idle.

Then its a case of you needing some willpower. I probably spend 15-30 minutes on facebook most days and the majority of that is to use chat as its easier than texting/calling people.

Sorry Krooton, I know I quoted you but it wasn't an attack :)

The reason you have stated are very valid ones. I'm sure others have valid reason too. I really don't, like most people, I could go drive to my 'friends' house to see them if I wanted or call them.

It just strikes me as a pointless thing to do, they've just removed some choice for no real benefit in usability - what's the point? At least let people choose chronological still if that's what they prefer, it was annoying enough that it would always default to whatever the other option was and force you to choose 'Most recent' almost every time you logged in but now you just can't do it at all. Great, what has that achieved?

You people now that you can drag up the bar on the right to show more of your friends and less of the 'instant update' feed or vice versa, right?

Yes but that doesn't fix the stupid Top Stories thing that means you're apparently no longer allowed to just see your newsfeed chronologically.

No of course not, because the internet it populated by 80 idiots and 20 pragmatic intelligent people. Unfortunately the 80% of people are also far more vocal, so they look at it and decide it's **** and then shout about it. Whereas during this time the other 20% look at it, play with it, work it out, learn to use it to their advantage and say nothing.

In time the other 80% will realise it works fine and become used to it, just in time for them to say 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' when the next round of changes is implemented.

Edit: All stats are made up and are just how it feels to a conscientious observer

Hit the blue box beside the top story to remove them. I don't have any top stories now, I only have 'recent stories' that are displayed chronologically.

Oh man, I very rarely use facebook - everytime I do something changes!! I guess they have to do something to try and justify being valued at $60 billion or whatever it is now

What about if you add all your friends to one list and view updates through that list, does that remove the top stories issue?
