Nah, the mods here are perfectly fair and impartial. You would never get one from someone just to test if their new powers worked. ;)
Actually I got my yellow one because we wanted to see how it worked! :p

I only have two so far, a yellow one and a red one.

What I'd like to know is how many points = suspension/ban?

Well the system has only just been implemented so it won't have been active when you were banned/suspended as it won't have been used to do the job. You can suspend/ban manually without any need for infracting. :)

How does it work then? Does it just pop up or does it alert your inbox or what?

I dont completely understand this.. Do they just respond to posts that are flagged? Or do they get alerted when a swearie is used?

As I understand it the infractions cards are not automatic, they require a moderators input - same as for any ban/suspension. RTMed posts are flagged for a moderator to look at but they will also just find posts that require dealt with in their normal browsing. I don't think there is any automatic search for swearwords, it is done manually, swearwords aren't even excluded by the text filter as it stands.

It's just a system a moderator has to manually use when they spot something worth infracting, but it makes things a bit easier.

'Full sized image hotlinking', 'improper thread title'. You would have to have a LOT of time on your hands to bother noting either of these. Jebus.

Not really... when you get people consistently making threads with stupid titles that don't give any info as to what the thread is about then it gets old very quickly. And also you get people that consistently hotlink to huge images regularly, and ian infraction usually stops them doing it again.
