Yeah, no rushing though. This was just one long ass battle. Fun though. It's easy if you rush but no fun imo. Was extremely difficult first time, but alright second.

Anyone else find MCV rushing online really annoying and pointless?
MCV rush?

I assume when you pack up your construction yard and move it closer to the enemy base. I don't see what you gain though, sure you're rushing units have less distance to travel, but so do theirs... and you've wasted a minute of your time moving while they've been building.

I was playing multiplayer as NOD against Scrin last night, they moved their MCV equivalent into my base and really quickly spawned engineer equivalents. Took half my base and that was in the first 5 mins of play.

I've got my tactics laid down for NOD and GDI (playing as NOD) but I can't beat Scrin as of yet. They seem able to get high powered units out way too quickly / easily.

You build a power plant and crane first. Then move the MCV whilst building a refinery in your original base.

Deploy the MCV in their base with a barracks and a turret or 2 and cause havoc. If you get there quick enough they won't have any units yet. :)

Sucks in multiplayer when your team let an opponent scrin player gather a large air force which quickly gains rank and whoops everything in sight.

It seems that I'm in the minority of initial buildline. I always always build refinery first power plant and then crane, so many ppl do power plant crane. I'm of the belief getting your income up and running is of highest importance.

See I do crane, 2 refineries, 3 power plants, 3 war factories, 4 harvesters, 15 scorpion tanks followed by whatever tech structures so i can churn out avatars and stealth tanks.

I always get the 15 scorpion tanks out as quick as i can so i can take out their harvesters and refineries early on.

Might try doing the refinery first next time.

um crane + 2 refinerys before any power? That would slow you down due to low power.

I don't have that a specific build line, it changes depending on the map, opponents etc.

My general tactic is to get money up and running whilst maintaining a force enough to protect myself.

I don't usually go for the quick rush win.

Power takes like 30 secs to build, that's boils down to about 1 min if you have a crane as you only need 3 power supplies as nod. 3 upgraded power supplies is more than enough for a nice healthy base.

I don't go for the quick rush win as such. It's more a case of trying to cripple their income fairly early on. Those scorpion tanks will always get destroyed and if they don't then the oponent just wasn't any good.

I do refinery, PP, WF, Barracks, refinery, WF, refinery, armoury. Never bother with a crane.

From thw WFs I build an extra harevster for each refinery and then a load of predators. Snipers sort out the enemy infantry, or perhaps a queued machine gun turret if they engineer rush.

Harassing with Shadow Teams is just an awesome tactic, teamed up with my friend the other night and with him harassing someone with a Shadow Team while I run in with some Eng in APCs is just hilarious

I had my first descent game against Scrin last night. Lasted about 30 mins and I lost but it was a really descent match.

I used some of the quick money making tactics from one of the links posted above and just started churning out stealth tanks and sending them out in their 20's.

I was able to do a lot of damage just not enough in a single go to cripple them.

I usually like churning out the avatars but I don't think their enough on their own to take on the scrin.
