The next James Bond could be...

I haven't got much interest after No Time To Die.
Same, 007 has run its course for me. I much prefer the Mission Impossible films, really good plots and characters, action is spot on as well and Tom does all his own stunts. Can't fault any of the latest ones and looking forward to Dead Reckoning part 1 and 2. Part 1 out in July.

Agreed. Craig (and times a changin!) basically killed Bond for me. Casino Royale was the last good one imo as it was the last one that felt like it embraced escapism rather than trying to be too reflective of current affairs etc .

The Craig era has been decent, Casino was a really good introduction but for me it's been downhill from there. I felt that they went more "Bourne" with the Craig series, especially the fight scenes, I loved Bourne so I had no complaints. NTTD was garbage, awful villain with a plot "twist" that was brutally obvious from the outset, even some really good actors couldn't save that dross.

I used to think Clive Owen would have made a good Bond, way too old now though. My other one is Luke Evans but again he is probably just about getting too old now. The thing is they need someone with a decent military past to make the Commander title plausible, I'm no military historian but surely that rules out most 20 somethings? I guess at least 35+ maybe?

I don't particularly want to see Jane Bond, but I'd like to see them do something with a woman in a similar kind of role.

I'm the same, I don't think you can change 'James Bond'... however they could do a "007" movie with Lashana Lynch continuing with her role. It could allow for doing something a little different to the usual while contuining the existing continuity to a degree. Somewhere down the line they can always then come back with new take on James Bond himself when the time is right

Good, right age for a Bond too. A woman in the role would have been a financial disaster IMO, and I can't see a studio risking it.
Going to be interesting to see how they spin it though, considering he died in the last one. I still go with the thought that 'James Bond' is just an alias/cover name that is taken up by different 007's over the years.
Unless they go for a complete reboot and pretend NTTD didn't happen...

ATJ could be quite a good call as 007. Right age as you say, early 30s, not too old, not too young to play Bond.

I'm sure I read Barbara Broccoli saying it was James Bond, not Jane Bond so I don't see them casting a female 007 as the title character anytime soon if ever.

Would love it if NTTD was wiped from the history of the Bond timeline. They rebooted Bond when DC took over from PB so why not do it again? Or just say that James Bond is the alias taken by various 007s over the years, as you say.
