The next UKIP leader thread

Farage quit because of 'credible' death threats against him and his family. Utter scum that did this  People having a go at him for retiring might want to re-think their opinion of him. I was upset to hear of racist attacks against immigrants in the wake of the referendum result, but I'm not surprised to find that the violence isn't just one way. How did we let our society become so divided?

By supporting and listening to people like Nigel Farage.

So £300k a year and a £200k a year pension leave you financially stretched? Oh how the other half live..............

To be fair, he's probably sunk a lot of his own money into UKIP. There was talk of them going bankrupt at one point.

Eh? What could he have done? The EU Parliament hate him, he wasn't an MP, the tories said he would have no part in the negotiations.

He completed his life's work, and then stepped down.

He publicly stated that it was his goal to lead Brexit negotiations with the EU. Then the official Leave campaign locked him out of the negotiations, so now he's resigning in a fit of pique.

He's yesterday's man. Nobody cares about him anymore.

Doubt it. Aaron the money man behind UKIP put £7m million in alone just for the Brexit campaign despite them not being the official party for Leave and the official campaigners only had a maximum of £900k to spend.

Can't see why Farage would have ever needed to dip into his (deep) pockets.

Yah, credible.
Uh-huh.

Says the guy with a quote from "yesterday's man" in his sig :D

I've been mocking Farage for years. I'm not going to stop just because he's now politically irrelevant. :D

You do realise that the 'quote' in your own sig isn't actually a legitimate quote, right?

You do realize that scum bag 'Farage' has leeched over £2 MILLION of tax payers money in expenses

His a bigger benefits cheat/leech than the entire cast of benefits street, utter slug of a human-being.

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...-demanding-douglas-carswell-resign-ukip-coup/

UKIP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) declared UKIP MEP and leadership favourite Steven Woolfe “ineligible” to stand in the up-and-coming contest, claiming Mr. Woolfe failed to submit his leadership application on time.

However, UKIP donor Arron Banks and MEP Victoria Ayling have both claimed that Mr. Carswell, along with Mr. Hamilton, is implicated in or behind the “coup” against Mr. Woolfe and his leadership bid.

I'll be honest, this isn't going as well as I'd hoped. The future is looking bleak for UKIP.

It's going exactly as well as I hoped :D

It's impressive how their favoured leader can mess up so badly, and doubly impressive how the swivel-eyed faithful can manage to spin a conspiracy theory from their desired candidates inability to follow simple rules.

I'm loving this.

UKIP is like Iraq. Now that it's lost the stabilising effect of the Farage personality cult, UKIP is imploding spectacularly. The factions and backstabbers Nigel previously held in check are free to attack each other with total impunity. Result: utter chaos.

:D

Carswell has tried this before, as a result some TV faces were kicked out but they couldn't really kick out the only MP.

He's tried to make Wolfe fail to hand in his paperwork in time, and fail to fill out his criminal convictions paperwork properly, before? When?

To be fair, there is some doubt about his paperwork, as there are screenshots of him having submitted it before the deadline.

The drunken scootering thing was a massively inept thing for a barrister to forget though...

Talk now is Farage un-resigning again, ousting the NEC, and then resigning again letting another contest take place. Ludicrous.
