Alleged Nintendo 3DS roams the wild, gets thoroughly dismantled

Yeah the one they took apart was the one that was apparently smuggled out of that Chinese factory. I saw the pics of it and I'm still unsure whether the exterior is going to be properly glossy or not, it looks more matte in the pictures I saw but then the ones at the conferences look glossy, then you've got the blue one in the OP which is sort of glittery.

Yeah that's what I heard a few months back but I haven't seen any footage of it at the conferences or anything and as it isn't on Nintendo's 3DS mini site I can only assume they're either keeping a Pokemon launch title a secret or it's not gonna be arriving at launch. Really looking forward to Street Fighter, Mario Kart and Resident Evil though. Not to mention all the current DS games which will be compatible.

It's already out in Japan.
Plus it's not 3D!
Although we'll probably see a remake of Ruby/Sapphire for the 3DS fairly soon.

Game are taking pre-orders for a £10 deposit. I asked the chap behind the counter about the price and he said that they thought it would probably be between £200 and £250.

Probably cheaper on Amazon, mind you...

I'm defo up for this, but unless launch price is £190 or less I'll wait a couplea months.

As far as crappy battery goes, it is poor, but as long as I can charge via USB (which I can then use on the train r at work) all is good!

The games look pretty good.

I can see two cameras on the top of the case. Does this mean it can take 3D pictures?

Yup. Works quite well too - better with people than buildings though. Probably a bit gimmicky as I'm not sure how often I'd use it but the technology is impressive. Kind of thing kids would adore I'm sure.

Just been googling and came across some threads suggesting that Pokemon Black/White may be compatible with this.

Pretty much my thoughts

Have a DSi at the moment, but will buy myself this for my Birthday along with getting the Pokemon games, bit of a pokemon geek still.
