Same card for me.

I’ll be transferring from a 4Gb card in current XL, I’m getting the new XL with MM preinstalled. What’s the best way of transferring current stuff to new 32Gb card and getting MM on there as well?
 
Same card here as well. The more I read about MM the more I think I'm not going to enjoy it though. If I don't I'll get round to playing Bravely default or FE finally.

Carrying over an existing NNID & games etc to the new one you will need to use the system transfer tool. MM should copy over but if it doesn't you'll see it on the Eshop to download free.

In contrast I'm expecting a simple cut and paste will do for me because I'm not migrating from a current 3DS - I'm coming in clean - just want the better micro SD card in and I'm done.

Oh Crap, so we have to copy from the memory card in the new 3ds to the new bigger memory card even though they are both brand new?

Guess I need to get a memory card reader for PC

Do you mean do a system transfer to the 4Gb card that comes with the system, then transfer everything to the 32Gb on a PC?
 
I would have said do the system transfer on the stock sd card - then once that is done do a cut and paste from that card to your new samsung card - then with the new card in the new 3ds go to the eshop and it'll be there to re-download (unless you get lucky and the game has somehow copied over).

Glad to know I am not the only one. Just getting the Black XL but already have lined for next Friday:

- Boxed copy: Luigi Mansion 2 (have always wanted to play this)
- Boxed copy: Zelda: A link between Worlds
- 32gig micro SD card
- Kung Fu skills and body armor to defend against the wife when she finds out!

And yes, next Friday seems to be taking for ages to come around
 
I was sitting there earlier and wondering about whether a microSD card is really necessary, 4GB is supplied, and I have a 16GB class 6 card sitting about, but then I sat down and thought about the games they've got coming and the space they may take up, such as Xenoblade, because honestly I could see that perhaps having bits that need to install, and potentially other games too, and I figured it might be worth a punt in the long run!

I could stick with the 16GB one I've got, but part of me thinks the Class 6 nature is going to be a real performance crippler if it is used in the future. That Samsung EVO card is cheap enough I might just have to take a punt.

Wonder if it actually does make a speed difference for the 3DS?!

Debating on which coverplate to go for (ordered white new 3ds).
 
Cavallino - I don't want to be changing cards every time I want to play a different game and also my kids have had problems with physical cartridges - one game died through static damage and another had a contact chewed by the release mechanism.

There's loads of places to buy codes for Eshop games too - so often it ends up cheaper buying digital.
 
Ah I didn't know! So you can buy ecodes for latest games from sites and redeem them on the Nintendo store? So games like the latest Pokémon games etc?
 
Nintendo store put charging cradles up for pre-order for N3ds and N3dsXL, they cost around the same as a normal charger.
