The **Now Drinking** Thread

Just finished a bottle of Punk IPA (6%), now onto Trashy Blonde (4.1%). Not a huge fan of the Punk, but the Blonde is pretty tasty. Making me salivate a lot!

Finished that, cracked open my last bottle of Brewdog. 8% Riptide. It's a stout, quite chocolately but with strong fruity hints. Leaves a nice lingering coffee taste. Will be a shame to see it empty out of my glass!

The stout is by far their best beer just now, the punk is just way too hoppy for me.

I'm currently drinking Vina Albali Gran Reserva 2002, first impressions it's really quite nice, but I know nothing about wine. :D

Paradox is my favourite, but impossible to find nowadays. Extremely acquired taste.

I posted those hops to you this morning, didn't make it to my flat on Saturday so didn't have a chance then.

No worries, I'm not in a rush to use them anyway. Planning to brew a porter and another lager I think as well as maybe a 30 bottle wine kit....

The IPA that I made using some of the hops is tasting really good, still a bit too sweet so should still have some more fermenting to do. Might rack it tomorrow and then bottle it in the weekend.

Im guessing Brewdog is really easy to get hold of there, do most supermarkets have a decent range of it? Struggling here really.

My local ASDA had 3 different beers. The Tesco had 3 or 4. There's also a few smaller shops/delis that do the rarer bottles. They do sell from their website, so might be worth checking that out though not sure on delivery charges.

I know that Sainsburys do the four packs as well, but best bet is their website. Peckhams would be another good one to check as well, great range of beers.

Ill have to toddle down to Sainsburys. I like their branding and approach, pretty no nonsense stuff. I think I have an Imperial IPA of theirs sitting somewhere (9%) which promises to be a hop hit!

Peckhams is Scotland only afaik.
I'll be there later this week, I'll tell James to sort out his Liverpool supply lines!

Added another couple to my collection (Lagavulin and Balvenie)

Got a glass of the Lagavulin on the go now :)

That Doublewood is probably my favourite commonly available single malt.
It's beautiful!

Having a bottle of Brewdogs Hardcore IPA. It's hop heaven!

Can anyone recommend some good Ales? Tried a few the other day from Tesco's and they were'nt anything special. From what I remember they were Newcastle Brown, some Honey Bee one and one that had Toffee in it. Wondering if I just picked the wrong ones?
