My local homebrew shop has moved to larger premises. It's also added a range of small brewery ales. I popped along to get a Wherry kit (40L) and a 5L keg of Summer Lightning for a stargazing party.. and picked a couple of bottles by Heather Ales Ltd (scottish and specialise in recreating old ales):

1. Heather, 6%, a dark liquorish taste but no real heathery taste :/
2. ALBA - Scotts Pine. 7.4%, this is simply stunningly tasty, has fruity notes caused by the pine.

I'm with the Desperados is horrible group, it's tolerable to start with but gets sickly and isn't great beer.

I'm currently drinking Tennent's, as usual.

You hate Desperado's but are happy to drink Tennent's?
