The **Now Drinking** Thread

Good old Instant Carte Noire, someday I just can't be bother fiddling about with filters and cleaning out pots.

Also with milk that was due to go off on the 15th, still going strong!

:o

Three posts, all with good beers in them! What's going on!?

I'm having a 'Good Times' atm. It's brewed by William Bros & Co in Alloa. It's a Pale Ale, and pretty zesty. It's not as radical as Brewdogs stuff (I'm sure though that they've changed their recipes of late though) but very tasty and far better than the commercial stuff.
I'm loving all their stuff, well worth picking up a few of their bottles from Tesco.

Will be on the Leffe Triple (bottle conditioned Leffe - sublime!!) shortly though.

Had a couple of pints of 'Keep The Card Oot' by the Gambling Man brewery - an ale made in the style of an Islay malt for Burns night. Had a nice flavour and definitely had Islay malt overtones but was quite weak on the finish. Think it could have done with another week maturing. Also had a pint of 'Westoe IPA' by the Jarrow Brewery (who own my local) which, as always, was very nice. When I got home, I had a bottle of 'The Governor' which was created by Marco Pierre White, and brewed by JW Lees. Not a bad ale at all. Not particularly noteworthy but quite palatable.

Just finishing off the bottle of 'Masterpeace' Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz I bought to have with my steak which claims (on the label) to be "big and powerful, bursting with ripe black fruit flavours" - it's not. It's really rather weedy. There are fruity undertones but it's most certainly not "big and powerful", not particularly suitable to have with my steak. Never mind, I'll finish it anyway.

Later, I'll be having a glass (or two ;)) of Laphroaig Quarter Cask with the last of the Cashel blue and Gorgonzola - omnomnomnom

When I went to the supermarket I wasn't intending on getting any brewdogs (go to their pub most Wednesdays anyway) but at 99pence a bottle it was hard to turn down!
Seriously thinking about booking a few days away to Germany soon just to drink haha.

Stan I'm almost crying while I finish off my coffee :(

;)

I'm finishing up my Westons now, and you know what, it's been a good night. All beers have been decent. The worst tonight was the Deuchars didn't taste of anything at all though for some reason.
One a side note if anyone can sort me out with a crate of Haker black lager i'll pay you a lot of money.

Never heard of that one only the Guinness Black Lager, which is pretty damn good tbh :)
