The **Now Drinking** Thread

Tweaked the recipe.
Halved the maple syrup, cut back slightly on the mint and added a second dash of angostura. Much better

Terminal hangover this morning. Twinings English Breakfast didn't cut the mustard so just had a prairie oyster. Seems to have hit the spot

Recipe:
  • 25ml Cognac
  • 1 dash tabasco
  • 1 dash balsamic vinegar
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch white pepper
  • 1 raw egg yolk
Liquid into whisky tumbler: Stir: drop in egg yolk: Down the hatch.

Coffee and French toast with bacon should finish the job.

Currently drinking a bittle of McEwan's Champion. Already had a bottle of King Goblin (Wychwood) and a bottle of Old Thumper (Ringwood).

All nice ales. King Goblin probably the star so far.

ESB (Fullers).

Never had King Goblin, how does it compare to their others?

I've only really had the Hobgoblin before (which I adore on draught). I'd say the King Goblin is similar to Hobgoblin but a bit stronger and slightly more meaty (but not much) - it's basically Hobgoblin+. Not necessarily better but different and as good.

Looking at their range, I'm keen to try the Black Wych. I like a good porter and, if it's as good as the Hobgoblin, I'll be happy.

Nice citrus taste.

Leffe blonde.

Is that a real rotary dial phone? And do they still work these days? If so, I'm jealous.
