I'm testing some different ciders tonight after reading the cider thread.

Just had a bottle of Magners pear cider and Bulmers pear cider and I liked both, think I preferred the Magners though. Now I'm drinking Jacques cider which I think is too sweet, doesn't really taste of cider at all.

Scrumpy jack is next.

Oooh scrumpy. Its a nice bold cider which i think is a love or hate marmite sort of thing. I personally like it. Jacques is a summer afternoon refresher imo..

Grenache. First time I've gone for a straight one without it being a blend. Good start and middle but little finish in comparison. Still quite enjoyable.

Do it good god that cider was amazing. I know the strength matters when taste comes to hand but the two i just had were amazing even though they wete quite high percentage!

raiding the dregs of my mini fridge whilst watching crap on iplayer I made a frightening discovering, if you drink Staropramen after drinking Grolsch it tastes like ham!

edit - roasted ham with a honey glazing! :X

i got em from my local beer/cider/spirit/tobacco stockists. bucktrouts i think its called. they had quite a selection of westons.

they were VERY nice. get some!

tonight im gonna try some of this.. felt a bit chavvy buying it though... lol..
