Boddington's. Went to Lidl today for the first time in a while, I think it's going to become my new offy.

Good beer, cheap beer, and my baby gets to use the can as a rattle thanks to the widget. Ace parent, or what?

If things get really desperate go for the Grafenwalder. It got me through my college years. Was 65p a can back then and after a few hours in the fridge it tasted not bad.

I however have some stellas in the fridge calling my name.
 
Carlsberg as well, blew my last tenner on a 12 pack, should see me ok till my wages clear tomorrow.:D

Just seen that Dirtyjester, the drunken hound lol.:)

Aspall's is very good.

There was a big cider thread a week or so again, have a peak in there. You'll have to get past all the purists though who say that only a certain type of cider is 'right'.
 
That really is the best thing to do. I'll have cider now and then and just grab a few different bottles from the shelf. I'm sure if it's in Waitrose then it can't be that bad... But I recommend Aspall's.
 
If you have a M&S nearby I do recommend the Organic Cider they do in 500ml bottles.

Weston's, (for Marks & Spencer) Organic Cider (England)
Brewed by Hereford cider producer Weston's for M&S, this cider pours a bright, medium gold, with a thin white head that disippates rapidly. On teh nose it is quite sharp and tangy, with a sweaty note that suggests a touch of Brettanomyces (yeast) character. On the palate it is sweet and sharp, with plenty of vivid apple fruit, a nice tangy lemon acidity and reasonable body. An interesting and quite complex cider. 6.6% ABV, 50cl, £1.89, Marks & Spencer.


...though I'm not seeing it on the website now :(

Cheers for the suggestions.

I ended up with some Henney's Dry Cider, Weston's 2010 Vintage and Aspalls Premier Cru. Shall try them tonight. :)

Lol, gotta say, frankie and una are pretty easy on the eye, they all are tbh.

Carlsberg today again. Was gonna go out but decided to stay in, have a few beer and play a few games. Save the pennies.

Carlsberg here as well though have a few Carling chillin in fridge, hmm that's if I can find it since she has cremated something and it's like a smoke grenade has gone off !
 
Just finished the Weston's. Really impressed actually, I've always been a wine and Brandy man and never really thought of having cider, it made a nice change. It's lovely and dry with a crisp apple taste and a fairly high alcohol percentage at 8.2%.

On to the Aspalls now.

Yes that's what I loved about the M&S Organic (which Weston's made) dry with a lovely apple after taste, wasn't as high a percentage as 8.2 but felt it :)
