Vespasian, why are you calling me and nydyrl mad/druggies? You're the one who has ruined a whisky!

Tennent's for me.

You must be whisky purists. That's okay. I often have whisky with water myself, but always with Ice. Occasionally I'll use ginger ale. The ice didn't ruin anything for me though. It was marvellous. If I could afford it, I'd be drinking 18yr old single malt on the rocks from here on in.

Anyway strange reaction to friendly banter? I do think there isn't much point in drinking a good whisky unless it's neat or with a trickle of water as you're probably better off saving your money and drinking something cheaper. In saying that I don't really care what you do, you pay for it so feel free to do what you want.

It's a fact that ice dulls the flavour. What's the point in removing the flavour, taste, nuances, subtle hints of flavour from a whisky? I really don't get it.

Still on the Tennent's, but about to head out to a club so it'll be loads of vodka soon!
