You must be whisky purists. That's okay. I often have whisky with water myself, but always with Ice. Occasionally I'll use ginger ale. The ice didn't ruin anything for me though. It was marvellous. If I could afford it, I'd be drinking 18yr old single malt on the rocks from here on in.

Just a little acid and a few grams of base.

Anyway strange reaction to friendly banter? I do think there isn't much point in drinking a good whisky unless it's neat or with a trickle of water as you're probably better off saving your money and drinking something cheaper. In saying that I don't really care what you do, you pay for it so feel free to do what you want.

Anyway a San Miguel for me.

It's a fact that ice dulls the flavour. What's the point in removing the flavour, taste, nuances, subtle hints of flavour from a whisky? I really don't get it.

Still on the Tennent's, but about to head out to a club so it'll be loads of vodka soon!
 
8 minutes past 3 and i'm drinking stella. :rolleyes: :D

i knew tesco had it on offer (24 cans for 12 quid) but i never thought the poxy little express store just over the road would have them in. but they did..... :o

Meauch.

Just in from a cheese and wine night that followed a few lectures. Won a decent amount of booze at the flying duck quiz so that and free wine has made for a good cheap drunken night. Need to sober up suitably so I'm on good form for the pointless audition tomorrow afternoon!
 
And, the weekend is over. Best stop drinking. Ended the 4 day binge with Amaretto Sours. A fine way to end a session! Now just on a can of coke.

DirtyJester, I implore you to buy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Just get a bottle or two incase it turns out you haven't got any taste and dislike it.

To late :( I've been and returned, cracked open a MGD while cooking dinner.
I'll make a note for next time so not all is wasted matey :D
