San Miguel Fresca, didn't touch the sides. I can't comment on whether it's decent or not, after the week I've had even Hofmeister would taste good!
 
Hennesey vsop with diet coke and tennents lager. Tennents is one heck of a popular lager round theese parts.

It was 'Tosca' at Glasgow's Theatre Royal. Contrary to what I've read, people were dressed up pretty well. The odd people casual clothes but by and large everyone there was dressed up which was nice. I didn't wear a tie, but if I had I wouldn't have been out of place.
Within a few minutes of the opening Act I was hooked and was really enjoying it. It's a bit weird darting your eyes to read the supertitles quickly whilst they are still singing but it's essential to follow the story.
I do begrudge paying £5 for a a glass of wine which is served in a plastic tumbler, but hey ho.
£50 a ticket is a bit too steep for me to go regularly (my mother paid last night), but I'm keen to go again. I think we're going to give the ballet a go next month though and see what that's like.

I wish I could pay £50 a ticket for the ROH! They're nearly 4 times more expensive there for decent seats, but at the end of the day you get what you pay.

Ballet is beautiful, start with one of the 'popular' ones, you'll most likely recognise music from them - Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Nutcracker (best to see this at Christmas time) or Sleeping Beauty and Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet or Cinderella. Generally ballet is cheaper than opera.
