The **Now Drinking** Thread

Laphroaig 10 yo.

First decent whisky i have tried and im in love, have a bottle of Jack denials for tonight though i need to take my time as im out of practice and could get in trouble fast :D

Never tried brandy but i did notice the Vsop on the shelf tonight in morrisons and was strangely drawn to it for some reason, sense got the better of me and i got JD instead.

Taste is?
 
Brandy is very nice, tbh Kanifee. It's the only spirit i can drink straight. I dont like scotch wwhiskey, and as for irish. I can only drink jamesons. I worked in the bushmills distillery for over 6 years. All the good stuff they produce is sent avbroad. Their 12 and 16 year old single malts are fantastic. But hard to get, yet the place where its made is only 9 miles from my house.
 
I tell you what, as someone who likes to try... tomorrow i will pick up a small bottle of vsop, it will go down either way but i can at least say i have had my self some decent bandy one way or the other.

Hopefully i like, is it a sweet drink, very rich or subtle?
 
Currently drinking a Captain Morgains + coke, come 9-10 I'll move onto a vast amount of lager and let the drunken gaming begin :D
 
Attempting a dry January. All good so far bar about a third of a glass of wine when my parents came round for dinner the other week (and that only 'cause my wife had bought a very nice bottle that I decided to have a little taste of).

But there's a nice-looking English Pale Ale downstairs and I think it's calling to me...
