It's Stone, therefore it's awesome (though pitchfork will soon be along to tell me that I'm so very wrong ;)).

I'm not usually a fan of smoked beers (made from smoking the malt usually with peat), even though I'm a huge smokey whisky fan. But bought this because it's from Stone.

The smokiness is there, but it's pretty subtle and is an almost afterthought which is good. Great balance to the beer. Surprisingly fizzy for a Porter as well, which does work and makes it a lot more light and smooth. 5.9% which seems about right though there's a hint of alcohol once it's passed the mouth.

All in all? A solid, and different, Porter. Recommended.

Good drinking tonight!

Very limited selection in the pub I was in last night so I opted for this having never heard of it before:

Has anyone else heard of this or tried it? Tasted very flat and bland to be quite honest. Definitely not one I'd buy again!

Just bought the below from Sainsburys. The Lime and Kiwi one is really nice and not as i expected. The summer fruits one is a nice typical summer fruits cider. Think i just found my "summer Ciders"

DirtyJester gave me this bottle ages ago, and I had totally forgotten about it.

Never sold in the UK, so quite rare. As for the taste, it's got that silkiness that Guinness has but it's a lot more carbonated. It's not what we'd consider a Christmas ale, not enough spice and flavour going on. It's quite bland to be honest. But, still cool to try beers that aren't seen on our shores.
