Lunch at Gourmet Burger Kitchen today. Tried their new Moroccan The Boat burger. It was really nice. The turmeric bun was tasty :D

And a little treat afterwards at Patisserie Valerie. Mixed berry mousse and a pot of tea :)

Goemon in preston street if you're ever down here, it was pretty damn good. That was a medium (huge) for about £8.50!

Cheers, wish that existed when I was living there !

Although it is missing a soft boiled egg and wood ears (staples in Tokotsu ramen.)

You can add them as sides, about £1-£1.50 each iirc, I just went with the basic one as I've never been there before.

I see, go back and report back! :p

In Japan they say a ramen restaurant can be judged on how well they do their marinated soft boiled eggs alone.

Hah. I knew somebody would comment on the tea. I put too much milk in the cup before adding the tea. After drinking some I put in more tea to make it darker.

This is EXACTLY why it is completely stupid to put milk in tea first. It does absolutely nothing to change taste and just makes it hard to judge the perfect colour blend.

Water first, just ask the Chinese who or Japanese who has been doing this for centuries before the west took it over and ruined it with milk.

Spent the day at the Siverburn Shopping Centre today. Poked around in a few shops, went to see Ready Player One again at the cinema and had a drink at Starbucks. Also...

Lunch at Thaikhun. Sweetcorn cakes, followed by barbequed pork on rice. Really nice :)

And finshed off with a slice of delicious cake at Patisserie Valerie :D

Just fried up some streaky bacon, a sliced chestnut mushroom, a large Clarence Court egg. Toasted a few slices of bakery granary bread. Stuck a slice of cheddar on the toast, loaded it up. Ate it.
