The **Now Eating** Thread

Fish n chips outside the Tower of London, just before I get beheaded.

One thing I've noticed with buying fish and chips in the capital is how it is sometimes much cheaper and fresher than many a well known seasides F&C places.
Those seaside places ironically don’t have a thriving fisherman community or business so they end up buying their fish from a central supplier like anyone else. You can imagine some of these suppliers have their delivery network and it would be much more frequent and in larger quantities for a city like London vs say a small seaside town.

dare not ask the price
£12.50. I thought that was expensive but not so sure now. Decent size of cod, reasonable amount of chips, but I think I'd get a bigger cod and loads more chips in my local fish bar for about the same price.

There's two of these fish and chip stalls next to each other, both with same prices. I'd walked past them a few times and had been tempted as the wafting smell of fish and chips was lovely and this time I thought sod it, I'll get some. The gulls and pigeons got plenty of crumbs.

I see them when checking online and the price of £12.50 which considering the tourist area and from a stall, if still a decent enough price.
We are paying not much off that price atm locally in South Kent.
