You can tell a lot about an Indian restaurant on the quality of its lamb. Lamb madras for me usually, but I'll give a Joe Rogan a go next time.
Madras will have a kick to it won't it? Rogan done properly will have shed loads of flavour (but not a lot of chilli) which should compliment the lamb. As you say, the quality and cooking of the lamb makes a huge difference.
