The **Now Eating** Thread

Had a quick play with my new Ninja Speedi tonight.
Lobbed into the pot some Fusilli, passata, Italian seasoning, corgette and a splash of water, then popped some quickly made steak mince meatballs on the crisper tray and cooked the lot for 15 minutes, finally grating over some Parmigiano Reggiano and some chopped Basil..

Ok, you won't see it on the menu at the Fat Duck, but for a super easy no effort meal, it's a winner, and the pot and tray went straight into the dishwasher.

I was going to cook some Fusilli along with a spiced tomato sauce.

But child was wearing the pants and refusing to go to bed, house is clean and tidy, partner at work until late so..

Door knocker arrived with an Indian, not from my local as it’s closed Mondays so tried somewhere else, large portions.

I went for Chicken Tikka Pathia, Rice, Plain Naan and Poppadoms along with their Sweet Chilli Sauce… currently trying to make a dent into it all.

Late lunch. Scrambled eggs on Vogel's soya and linseed toast. After watching some YouTube videos, most weren't adding milk, just a decent size nob of butter in a frying pan and not overwhisking the eggs which adds too much air. In fact Jamie Oliver said you don't need milk if you cook the eggs right. He's right. For years I've been adding milk but mine never used to come out creamy, always a bit rubbery. Today I just added a good pinch of salt, didn't overwhisk or add milk, and they're creamy and delicious as anything. Did it in a small frying instead of saucepan.

Respect. I can't handle madras/Vindaloo levels of spice. Way too hot for me.

Well here we are with attempt 2 of the pizza/curry sauce experiment. I'd bet good money this isn't the "right" masala sauce, since its more orange than red. Still gave it a go and its.... fine. Nothing to rave about. Honestly, I don't see myself doing this again anytime soon. its an interesting way to eat pizza, but its not really my thing. Plus I'm trying to lose weight, so I'm going to be cutting back my takeaway ordering a lot.

Can always freeze what's left and make an easy curry for another day
