The **Now Eating** Thread

This looks great. Got a recipe?

I muttered something how id prefer a normal lasagne to the mrs when she suggested it...its delicious though. Its also really good for two nights, sometimes with a beef mince version its not always as good the next day.

A whole leg of lamb from Sainsburys

SAS must be absolutely caked up. I have to wait for clubcard offers :(

We quite often get lower prices than the supermarkets from our local butchers, when they run specials.

Sometimes Sainsburys come in cheaper than a few other supermarkets as well.

@{SAS}TB What was the price of the leg, if you don't mind.

It was £25.79 for.just shy of 2kg (£13/kg)

At that time on a Sunday I didn't have much choice (did call the local farm shop and they didn't have any)

Farm shop or butchers would have been first choices but when the Mrs decides she fancies slow cooker LRJ at that time on a Sunday, the Sainsbury's (or Waitrose!) It was :P

Swings and roundabouts sometimes and as you say "Sunday + not much choice"

I can imagine it tasted good :)

My OH has a memory of all our UK breaks, by the fact we/she found a Waitrose  with the highlight of her North Wales stay, being the Waitrose just across the bridge :D

Decided to do a tapas night for the family this weekend.
Hadn't done one for quite some time (8+ months), so I'm pleased with how it turned out - maybe could've done a bit more spice on the cheese bites and crisped up the patatas bravas a little, but otherwise it turned out good.

Patatas bravas, breaded cheese & habenero bites, spiced meatballs with a chili salsa, nachos, and spiced chicken with peppers and onion... plus a small side salad.
