Probably not a suitable topic for "La Cuisine" but I tried my first Popeyes chicken last week - absolutely terrible in my opinion!

There is an outlet in Meadownhall now and it's just bland as hell!

If I wanted chicken I'd go KFC every day of the week!

I've heard the same things about my local one also, getting terrible reviews so far.

Not in any rush to give it a try now.

BBQ pork in a wrapped noodle. It is made by making a rice flour and water mixture, pour into a big heated surface like you do in a pancake. Then put your fillings on top. Put a lid on and the mixture will set into that noodle, then you fold it up.

I know it's fast food and it's not exactly quality food but to me there was just no taste in the seasoning - I'm not saying KFC is all that but at least it doesn't taste like plain chicken!

If my wife has her way we may be going to the states next year and so I will make a point of going to a Popeye's over there to see how it compares!
