The **Now Eating** Thread

Made sandwhiches with chicken, bacon and sweetcorn sandwhich filler for my lunch, but the filler is just awful, so those have gone into the bin.

Just having a packet of tomato sauce crisps instead :(

Pulled pork shoulder sandwich (can't claim to have done anything fancy with the pork, I cooked it but it came pre-prepared ready to cook).

Eating a little pot of pasta for lunch...

Tastes pretty good until you get past the half way stage, then it's pretty gross :p

Got 940g of Silverside cooking in the oven. Dusted with flour, salt and pepper. Maillard'ed in a pot, then threw in some onion, garlic, mustard (whole grain - didn't have any powder) and some cider. Popped the lid on, and put in the oven. 6 minutes per 100g + 30 minutes and some resting time so should be ready for 8 o'clock.

It cost £4.40 for the meat, down from £11 but looked pretty fresh.

It was over done for me, I was aiming for rare/medium but it was more medium/well. Oven too hot I reckon, never mind. It wasn't amazing (silverside really needs a slow cook but I couldn't be bothered waiting) but still nice enough. My creamed spinach with grilled cheese on top was awesome!
