The **Now Eating** Thread

Chili Con Carne / Ragu type stuff. I've recently learnt about Mirepoix - Carrots, Onions & Celery so started with a base of that adding some Lardons. Sealed some Mince and added that, then a tin of tomatoes & tin of kidney beans. Chucked in some Chili peppers and some Tomatoes I had laying around. Added half a pint of stock. Seasoned with Salt & Pepper.

Smells lovely.
 
Liquorice Torpedoes.

There's a new, old style sweet shop opened in Glasgow. Popped in today and got some of the above, some Pontefract cakes and some proper fried eggs.
Much better than the rubbish sweets from Haribo et al.

We had one open up across the road the other month, big jars of Fudge and Gobstoppers. Bloody expensive tho.
 
Warm roasted beetroot, rocket and goats cheese salad with roasted walnuts and balsamic reduction with a glass of chilled Sauternes.
