The **Now Eating** Thread

It's between blue and rare in that picture, yeah. Personally in some situations I do enjoy beef that is essentially sashmi but for general cooking rare to medium rare tend to be the best ways to prepare steak.

Depends on the cut. Seen as that's fillet it looks perfectly cooked to me. Maybe a bit more charring/colour on the outside if I was going to nitpick, can't really see in those pics ;)

chicken chow mein, chicken curry, special fried rice, s+s chicken, dim sums, spring rolls, prawn toast,
2 plates for £8.. gotta love Ken Hom ready meals :)

Steak with sweet potato fries, broccoli, cauliflower and a red wine, black garlic and bacon sauce.

Your steak looks better than mine from last night. Wasn't the best. What cut is it?

They were entrecôtes from the butchers. I like to get up to there if I have the time as their meat is head and shoulders above the supermarket butcher.
They sell to restaurants so smallest amount is 1kg you can get. Got 1.6kg cut in to 4 steaks, so they were peachy!
