**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

You talking about the driver or the DLSS file? Never heard of DLSS file causing stuttering, but who knows, you learn something new everyday :)
Wait was the update through Nvidia app just an updated DLSS file or was it a driver update? Got me thinking now! Long day ..

Found a bug in the latest GRD that wasn't there in the most recent Studio driver, In Star Wars Outlaws I get a freeze upon exiting a selection screen i.e contract selection, Ship upgrades etc... it freezes looking at the table inside the ship or the exterior of the ship that requires me to open task manager and shut it down. Went back to the latest Studio and it doesn't happen.

Yay for using AI to help code drivers.....

EDIT

Nevermind, It turns out enabling ReBar with the Nvidia Profile Inspector messes things up, Drivers seem good now that I returned that setting to default :D

Nvidia confirms its “looking into” Windows 11 Update KB5074109

There's only so much Nvidia can do to polish Microslops turd which now that I think about it, Gives a very horrid mental image.

Jensen Huang furiously polishing Satya Nadella's Lincoln log "Why won't you shine you thief of joy !"

I've been getting really bad texture pop-in in arc (on my 9070xt) but i think it could be down to this update. A quick google has suggested an out of order cumulative update for 24h2 and 25h2 might fix. If it does i'll post the link.

I removed the update and it wrecked my msi after burner lol.done a fresh install during install it updated again with the update that wrecked after burner lol...

I'm happy to pay for a working SteamOS at this point...probably up to about £50. Imagine if EVERY game ran as if it was on a console OS...but PC hardware...

I have no experience of it, so i'm projecting I guess. I just want something that doesn't randomly bork performance for weeks on end!!

Meh... Neither of the recent issues with windows updates have affected me....

I imagine it's just a vocal minority with the issue.

I'd just like a Windows based OS that "feels" smoother in gaming as I can boot into my CachyOS install and it is definitely smoother in the games I play and that's with a fairly fresh Windows 11 install.

Yeah, that I can understand. I've not tried any linux gaming but I've looked into it enough to know that it's far from perfect.
And there's potentially a lot of games that don't work on Linux.
I believe they're getting better but I also don't think Nvidia's linux drivers are great either.
Not to mention utilities such as FanControl and Afterburner.
