Download the NVIDIA driver slimming utility, it is exactly as it says so you can trim down your NVIDIA driver install base.

As described by the programmer uKER , having trimmed NVIDIA drivers for as long as he can remember, the man decided to make a utility to help make the modification and installation process more bearable. Now, this idea has transformed into an easy to use utility usable for the general public. With the tool, you can select the many modules that form the driver, and select what you need and/or want to be installed. Once you hit apply, it deletes the modules the user didn't choose, and offers the option to install the driver. The app is in early staged and will likely see some updates and improvements. Hope you find it useful. Any bug reports and/or suggestions are welcome, you can check out the dedicated forum thread where the author is active.

GeForce 320.49 Driver BETA is on the main Nvidia website now, seems a WHQL might be added over the next couple of days. Hopefully that will fix the weird problems people are getting. Until then it may be worth sticking with 314.22..

320.18 has fried my GTX670 :( Either that or extreme coincidence!!!! Playing Tomb Raider for a few hours after the drivers were updated, windows crashed, rebooted with artefacts on BIOS screen and post loading screen. Won't enter Windows 8 with continuous reboots... GRRR!

Now working with an old ATI CARD.

This one is going to have to be RMA'd - beware!

Hopefully you get the RMA sorted without any issues. There is def problems with Nvidia drivers atm. Those posting above thinking it's AMD users are a bit delusional. Their are some serious issues atm, Nvidia have already announced they are aware of issues and trying to fix them. The announcement is further back in the thread. Unfortunately your not the only one to get a dead card. Hopefully this all gets sorted soon, I'm using 326.01 with GTX 480 SOC on Windows 8.1 X64 preview. All fine so far...

I'm on the latest drivers (320.49) on my GTX 680 but having lots of issues with screen tearing. Happening both in game and on the desktop for example whilst in firefox. Is this a recognised issue on the latest drivers? Didn't have any problems on the older ones.

Not done any changes in control panel or in NVidia inspector with regards to vsync just yet.

If rolling back which are the preferred ones? 314.22?

Ta

I installed the 326.01 drivers (Windows 8.1)

They work fine on Windows 7 x64 !

Had problems trying to install these on Windows 7 X64, black screen no display. Had to boot to safe mode, manually delete the GPU drivers, then reboot with driver sweeper and start the whole process again. Not a good start lol.

Some outstanding bugs still open:
No display on some monitors with Korean panels - Fixed but not in this driver. Will be in WHQL driver early August
GPU TDRs after 36 hours of idle - Investigating however we believe we may understand the cause
Faceworks demo shows DIgital Ira character with yellow beard - Fixed in WHQL driver

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !

Actually the 326.01 drivers are fine atm. Will wait for the WHQL in August...
