**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Hi

Anyone having problems with Nvidia driver 337.88. Been crashing BF4 a couple of times with this error

DirectX Function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" Failed with DGI_Error_Device_hung ("the device is hung which is typically caused by issues in the graphics drivers or alternatively the application")
GPU: "NVIDIA Geforce GTX 780 ti",Driver 33788

Going to try the latest beta 340 or perhaps go back to a earlier version?

Try the 340.43 beta or wait til next week as the new WHQL from the same branch (340.52) should launch then. The quadro version is already live, so the geforce one is soon to follow.

yeah thanks, i went for the beta 340.43. Just need to test it. It amazing the number of people that are experiencing this issue, particularly when it comes to BF4 and even BF3!!??.

Some of the EA forums are going down the route it overheating and problem with hardware etc. I am not ruling that out but it is unlikely imo. Temps are not even go past 50 with load on my WF cooler and there quite a few folk uninstalled OS and redownloaded and installed BF :eek: just to find it doing the exact same thing with fresh installs.

Same here in the past to be honest. I rarely upgrade my drivers, if all is working well and im happy with the performance, i see no reason to upgrade the drivers.

However, i heard about recent improvements in performance so upgraded to 337.50 which was the latest at the time. What misery it caused. Did a couple of clean installs but BF4, BL2 and just Youtube crashed the driver... :confused: odd!

Went to 337.88 and all has been fine.

the gigabyte 780ti gave it away in your sig. Check the 780ti owners thread looks like you have got one of the dodgy gigabyte 780ti's.
 
The 340 beta's where no good for me either. Major corruption in Watch Dogs.

Im hoping the next WHQL's improve Watch Dogs a little, as currently Im not touching it untill it's in a better state. Hopeing for a new Ubisoft patch too.
