**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Hi Guys,

Just updated to 344.75 with my DHS as sig. It crashed whilst going through the process of rebooting the driver after the update.

PC gets to the point just before displaying the Windows login screen and displays a pretty rainbow across the top portion of the display :-/

I can eventually get to the login screen by doing a few hard resets and then my rig will game and bench as normal. Shut down and a retry shows the same symptoms.

I've rolled back to .65 for the meantime. I noticed a bit of strange behaviour during the week whilst on BF4 - random hangups during loadscreens and the "rainbow" was there occasionally. This was on .65 though? I realise that BF4 isn't the best yardstick though lol

Any ideas? GPU clocks are stock atm so I'm ruling out a dodgy OC?

Churz

**EDIT**

It's now doing it in both driver versions and even harder to spoof it into booting - ut oh...

I've reseated the card and the power cables. Managed to get it to the login screen one time out of ten attempts - randomly hitting enter at the perfect time seems to get it there?

DDU and clean driver install :)

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I've got a love/hate relationship with DDU - it has a habit of taking out my Realtek drivers for some reason.

Just benched with firestrike and it shows my CPU boost at 798hz as opposed to the actual clockspeed of 4389mhz? I've stress tested with Prime95 and it defo jumps up to the correct clock under load.

Just installed the 344.80 hotfix drivers and they seem to have cleared up the Displayport issues I'd been having (corrupted displays, no signal on boot etc).

GeForce Hotfix driver 344.80

This is a beta driver that addresses the following issues:

GeForce GTX 980 displays texture shimmering when Texture Filtering Quality set to High Quality.
GPU outputs fuzzy lines over DisplayPort after a period of time following driver updates.
System hang up and black screen after power on with some monitors (DP1.2 & 4K/60Hz) + GTX980

Hi all just played a few games with dsr today and I'm really pleased with it. I'm playing at different res higher res are cool even on my old 470.s it's still runs good.

Yep... depending on what game, it can make a noticeable difference.

Though tried Wolfenstein new order and at 1440 (1080 monitor) it cost me about 30 FPS in outside scenes. So a no go for this game for me.

No ****

installed the .75 drivers to play FC4....

AND GSYNC NO LONGER WORKS, THANKS NVIDIA!!!

Seriously, STOP ******* BREAKING THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Fixed it, games were all trying some weird mash up of borderless windows mode, DDU'd, clean install, got it again, DDU'd again, installed older driver then updated and all is well again

Dear Nvidia,

Up your ******* game.

Sincerely
The Gaming Community.
