**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Just a single 980ti and I'm still at peasant 1080p resolution. :D

They *should* behave exactly as the same as the 355.60 WHQL drivers then according to the devs.

Having said that my experience of developer builds of anything is that developers always forget what other changes they made in their build tree so it's certainly not impossible for other "features" to have slipped in. ;)

LOL

Just attempted an update via the GeForce Experience and it failed to update on a clean install and gave a DLL error on boot up!!

FML!!! Thanks nVidia!!!

Are you on windows 10?
Have you disabled getting drivers from windows update?

If you try to install without disabling this feature bad things are likely to happen.
I would let windows at least download it's idea of the right drivers first on a clean install before I tried to correct it.

Yes and no I haven't - will find out how to do that

Historically they have been miles better, however a blip was bound to happen sooner or later.

Since 350.12 people have been having issues, can't relate to it as i've not had a single one going from a 780 sli / 780 to 980ti during this time period, they seem to be doing regular hotfixes for those who are having issues and then it's a case of clean install and see if it works....

Obviously the driver team have massively dropped the ball on this given all the reported issues, although i'd be willing to bet 50% of them are PEBCAK

Far Cry 4 has always had some issues.

Even after many patches my game kept crashing in Shangri-La sections

Yep you're right, I went back to Win 7 and FC4 is still crashing, a lot less but still doing it.

All other games are fine, so it doesn't seem to be a driver issue.

Oh well, I've installed these 355.80 drivers!

I never learn :p

I installed these this morning and it was a disaster.

PC was freezing for several minutes loading Win10 desktop.
The mouse stopped working.
PC was very sluggish.
When I did get the PC to run long enough I found performance had taken a hit.

These are the worst NVidia drivers ever.

I thought the whole idea of the 355.80 drivers was to fix multi GPU problems, not to create them.

I have gone back to 355.60.

Try 355.83 Kaap?

Literally seems like another day another diver atm. People seems to have problems ever since 350.12, not one driver since that just works across the board.

355.80 seem ok for me but then I've only played Witcher 3..

I think it is a 4 way SLI problem with 355.80 as people with 3 way setups have got it running ok.

I find it amusing though as it was claimed 355.80 would solve problems with multi GPU setups.

I will give 355.83 a go.:)
